Company History

International Game Technology was founded in 1975 in Reno, Nevada by William "Si" Redd, initially focusing on video poker and land-based slot machines. The company pioneered random number generator technology for slot cabinets and grew to become one of the dominant suppliers on US casino floors through the 1990s and 2000s. IGT merged with GTECH Holdings in 2015 to form a global lottery and gaming conglomerate. The iGaming division launched to adapt its most successful land-based titles for online operators worldwide.
